RASAMAYA YOGA

ALIGN: Yoga for Posture

Deepen the connection with your body in this alignment-based Rasamaya Method yoga class. This ongoing class uses evidence-based gentle corrective yoga postures and postural training to strengthen the body and reduce or eliminate pain. Every class opens with rasa intention setting and breathwork, and special emphasis is placed on maintaining proper alignment through the support of yoga props and the wall. Each week offers education on a different biomechanical concept that will empower you to find more safety, stability, and flexibility both on and off the mat.  All levels of yoga experience welcome including those with special needs. For those with chronic pain, it is highly recommended that you complete (or take in tandem) the Live Pain Free Series I & II. Please contact info@rasamaya.com directly to register for this special course.

Discover the poetry of your body.  Carrie's constant curiosity about the possibility of the human body is poured into her creative, inspiring, anatomically focused classes.  Class opens with rasa intention setting, breathing technique and somatic movement before moving into creatively adapted sun salutes that will strengthen your body and increase your flexibility.  You can expect to try yoga postures you didn't know existed as you uncover your hidden potential through the balance of dynamic flow and stillness. Classes build each month with key concepts laying the foundation for the following month's flow. The pace of the class is moderate, appropriate for all levels who can move from the floor to standing easily, though modifications are always offered

Rest your mind and your heart. Join us in the early morning hours to experience the power of silent meditation. New meditators are welcome, and Carrie can offer guidance to help you get comfortable with the discomfort that may arise during the practice. Meditation helps to clear and focus your brain and is excellent for stress management and for integrating mindfulness into your daily life.
